Description
This late 1830s early 1840s pattern is of a bird protecting his food supply. Completed in the original coloring, size and shape it is 189 stitches wide by 176 stitches tall. There are just 25 DMC shade used. The coloring is predominately earth tones due to the fact that dyes at that time were made from plants and flowers.
An alternate of this pattern is created entitled H F Muller 400 Alternate, which shows more gayly colored hues of the 1850s and 1860s.
