Victorian Flower Sofa Cushion

This 1870’s Berlin Work Pattern comes from a finished work in my collection.  The design is copied directly from the pillow, which I doubt was rarely shown or kept out of sunlight as the colors were very bright.  Filled with very heavy feathers, it was as new as the day it was made.  The design is 240 stitches wide by 140 stitches tall and uses 47 DMC colors.  I have shown it on the original brown shade, which would have been popular at the time, but it could be displayed against any background color.
