Sampler Bird and Bower

Description

This pattern comes from a finished work in the seller’s collection. This design originally graced the center of a sampler made in 1872. The pattern is made up of 35 DMC colors and is 81 stitches wide by 82 stitches tall. Unfortunately the sampler was washed and the analine dyes ran, so the color palet comes from the reverse side, which was less affected.
