Sajou Dog and Butterfly

Description

This pattern by Sajou is dated January 1857 and was a give away from an French Magazine of the time.  The design was faithfully copied from an original pattern, however given the position of the dog’s head, I feel that the butterfly should be higher and closer to the dogs nose, but I will leave that to the stitcher to change if they want.  The pattern is 176 stitches wide by 96 stitches tall and uses 24 DMC colors.
