Roses and Lily of the Valley Round

Description

This circa 1860’s pattern of Roses, Lilly of the Valley and Violets comes from a finished work in the seller’s collection. Originally done on a black background, the Lilly of the Valley was completed in beadwork, the Violets in silkwork and the Roses in woolwork. The colors were obtained from the reverse side as it was not protected by glass and had faded over the years. Comprised of 46 DMC colors it is 180 stitches in both directions.
