Description
This is an un-named pattern from the late 1860s. However, based on other patterns, I have attributed it to Heinrich Keuhn. This pattern is the first of a pair, and was fun to do. I have copied it verbatum, however to get the affect of the background shading, I would pick one color and cross stitch the rest. It is one of the fullest patterns I have done, with very little space not accounted for. Rectangular in shape it is 210 stitches wide by 165 stitches tall and has 44 DMC shades. The design is heading towards the woodland tones of the 1870s but could easily be changed.
