Large Lush English Floral Bouquet

Description

This late 1860’s pattern comes from a finished work in the seller’s collection and to date, it is the largest pattern in the collection. Comprised of Roses, Dallias Daffodils and Tulips surrounded by a vast array of folliage, it stands at an impressive 282 stitches wide by 350 stitches tall. Originally housed in a non-descript frame that did not do it justice, which later I found that it had been reframed to a smaller size. The original needlework expanded five inches in both directions passed the outline of the design. It uses 77 DMC colors to create the intricate shading.
