This late 1860s, early 1870s, Berlin Wool Work pattern was given as a free design from the French Magazine- “Journal Des Dames et Des Demoiselles”.  Shown in the original rose colors, the pattern uses 38 DMC colors and is almost square at 201 stitches wide by 208 stitches tall.  On the original design, was the outline for a chair seat, but it could be easily used for a picture or pillow as well.  Two different color scheme alternates are shown as separate patterns.  One is the more prevalent Blue and the other is Purple.
