Description

This late 1860’s pattern by Hertz & Wegener represents the change over from the fussiness of the previous decade to more woodland tones brought about by the William and Morris Movement.  Gone are the bright and brilliant foliage and there are more brown and darker colors being introduced.  Where before this would have been executed in brilliant greens, only three leaves show this color.  The design is small yet stunning.  It is 70 stitches wide by 70 stitches tall but uses 38 DMC colors.
