Urn of Flowers

Description

This pattern, which is attributed to Carl Wittich, was copied from a finished work.  The urn was executed in beadwork and the flowers and foliage in wool.  The backgroun being black, puts it after the death of Prince Albert in 1861.  The pattern is 171 stitches wide by 190 stitches tall and uses 60 DMC shades to complete.  The colors were derived from the reverse side of the finished work, which were still bright as new.
