Description

This lush 1860’s Berlin Wool Work pattern comes from the Nowotny Collection, in Vienna, Austria and is attributed to Louis Gluer of Berlin.  The design is Victorianna at it’s best.  This was originally designed to be a carpet, but would make a stunning tablecloth.  The original design had  gray leaves peaking out on the inside of the outside border, which were to be added if desired.  I have left these out because I felt this detracted from the whole design.  The pattern as shown is 500 stitches wide by 340 stitches tall, and uses 75 DMC colors.  A separate listing is just for the center medalion.
