Description

This 1870’s pattern, while not marked, is attributed to SAJOU and came from France. It was acquired with other loose pages that were once part of a small needlework booklet. The design is made up of connecting roses with the predominate color of red with three color alternates as shown on the original pattern. Also is given the original’s suggestion for the background which was a checkerboard pattern in alternating shades of blue. The design as shown is 157 stitches wide by 91 stitches tall with each rose comprised of 4 DMC shades and 4 DMC shades for the surrounding leaves. This pattern can be expanded in any direction.
