Description
This 1850s pattern is a copy of an original painting, that I have yet to identify the sitter or the artist. While it seems to depict a historical character, the hairstyle was one popularized by Princess Alice, Queen Victoria’s daughter. The design is rectangular in shape at 259 stitches wide by 287 stitches tall, but uses only 28 DMC shades. There are two alternates of this design, each changing the color of the dress depicted.
